The March of Dimes Collegiate Council Color Walk will be held on November 9th, 2025 at Turlington Plaza on the University of Florida's Campus. Registration will begin at 8:30am with the walk beginning at 9:00am.
People may visit our registration page to register for the Color Walk and to get their own personal fundraising page, and/or they may accept checks made out to the March of Dimes. Any checks collected can be turned in the morning of the Color March at the registration tent in Turlington Plaza.
Although there is no registration fee to participate in the Color March, we ask that all walkers raise a minimum of $25 in order to participate in the walk.
There will be plenty of free food at the event for registered walkers. Brunch following the walk will be provided courtesy of local vendors near campus. There will also be drinks provided for walkers along the route at each of the five Color Stations.
Exercise clothes and comfortable walking shoes are strongly suggested. Teams are encouraged to wear team shirts to be easily identified and increase team morale!
We walk rain or shine- if it is raining the morning of the Color Walk please check your email, the Walk page, and the MODCC Facebook page for updates.
The route will be nearly 5 kilometers long, or 2.95 miles to be exact. No worries, there will be 5 Color Stations located throughout which will provide refreshments and a morale boost along your route.
We are estimating about 500-1,000 walkers. Team competitions may get very serious in order to win prizes and to place, but not to worry, it’s all for a very good cause. Teams have been known to break out in team cheers and write checks at the last minute to win the top prizes, this is all perfectly normal as well.
No! You can register with a team or as an individual. No team is too big or too small, and anyone can help make healthy moms and strong babies. We do have a suggested donation of least $25 for the March of Dimes.
​Immediately following the walk, totals will be calculated to establish the top fundraising teams and individuals. The awards ceremony will be at 10am. T-shirts and prizes will be given away during and after registration.
